The Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis is a major cultural event in Senegal celebrating contemporary art. Every year since 2013, this exhibition has presented artworks across different disciplines including painting, sculpture and photography. The ninth edition will take place from 6 May to 30 June 2023 at the Musée CRDS ex-IFAN in Saint-Louis, Senegal. Visitors will be able to enjoy 72 works across different artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture and mosaic.

Initiated by the Ndar Création association of Saint-Louis, led by visual artist Abdoukarim Fall, the exhibition will feature works by 33 artists from Senegal and other West African countries, including The Gambia. In addition to the exhibition, the event offers a series of training workshops for artists and art enthusiasts in painting, drawing, sculpture and mosaic, and also raises awareness of environmental challenges.

The Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis also feature workshops and artist performances, as well as a panel discussion on the collective management of visual artworks, hosted by SODAV, the Senegalese Society of Authors Rights and Related Rights. The panel will discuss “the collective management of visual artworks: challenges and perspectives”.

The vernissage will take place on 6 May 2023, marking the opening of the exhibition, which will run until 10 June 2023. The event is a showcase for contemporary art in Senegal and West Africa, offering a unique opportunity to discover works that reflect the richness and diversity of contemporary African culture. The Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis is therefore an unmissable gathering for art lovers and artists seeking new sources of inspiration.
