The Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis returns for its 11th edition, from 3 May to 3 June 2025 at the CRDS in Saint-Louis, Senegal. The event, which has become a landmark in the African cultural landscape, today unveils its official poster, announcing an edition rich in diversity, creation and exchange.

A poster that symbolises a month of creation and encounters

Designed in a contemporary and rooted spirit, the 2025 poster reflects the plural identity of the exhibition: a bridge between generations, territories and artistic expressions. It sets the tone for an ambitious event, resolutely turned towards Africa and the world.

Through the poster: an exhibition in motion

The official poster for the 11th edition of the Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis is much more than a visual. It is a sensitive gateway into the world of the exhibition.

It deploys a diagonal movement of fluid materials and colours, evoking passage, transformation and the circulation of ideas. Inspired by a work by artist Babu Ly, it blends aquatic hues, pictorial gestures and layered transparencies, as an invitation to explore the indefinite and the sensory.

The colours — deep blue, diffused pink, brilliant white — evoke the river, the sky and the vibration of contemporary creation alike.

At the centre, the Itinéraires Artistiques logo anchors itself as a graphic landmark, clear and refined — a symbol of connection, journey and interconnection. It enters into dialogue with modern typography and dynamic framing, a reminder that this exhibition is in motion, alive, in step with its time.

The whole expresses:

  • the plurality of artists (40 in total),
  • the diversity of invited countries (7, with The Gambia as guest of honour),
  • and the shared energy between creation, transmission and exchange.

An international edition with 7 countries represented

This year, 40 artists from 7 countries will take part in the exhibition, with 76 selected works. The countries represented are: Senegal, The Gambia (guest country of honour), Belgium, France, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, United States.

The choice of The Gambia as guest country of honour illustrates the commitment to strengthening cultural bridges between countries in the sub-region. An official delegation of artists and institutional representatives will take part in the event.

A selection of committed artists

Among the 40 selected artists are recognised names such as Abdoukarim Fall (Senegal), Julien Zegers (Belgium), Moctar Ly (France), Grace Mutumbo (DRC), and Ebrima Gitteh (The Gambia). The diversity of mediums (painting, sculpture, installation) guarantees a visually rich and conceptually engaged exhibition.
