ITINÉRAIRES ARTISTIQUES DE SAINT-LOUIS: art workshops prepare the next generation – video

The 8th edition of the Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis is well underway. After a grand opening with a colourful vernissage, the art workshops were the second stage of the programme. Schoolchildren, students and self-taught participants benefited from training sessions in painting and the repurposing of everyday materials. This year, communication was chosen as the theme. The youngest participants produced their very first artworks, which will be exhibited at the gallery of the Centre de Recherches et de Documentation du Sénégal (CRDS). A way for the trainers to prepare the next generation, to nurture their talent so that it may reveal its full creative potential. Fatima FALL, director of the CRDS, praised this major cultural initiative and reiterated her willingness to strengthen the partnership with the Association Ndar Création.
