The Minister of Culture and Communication presided over the opening ceremony of the 7th edition of the Itinéraires Artistiques de Saint-Louis on Sunday, alongside the Mayor of Saint-Louis. Canvases, photographs and sculptures by nearly thirty artists filled the gallery of the Centre de Recherches et de Documentation du Sénégal (CRDS). Abdoulaye DIOP praised the “maturity of the Itinéraires”, stating that the event perfectly showcases “the quality and talent of our fellow citizens and creators from the sub-region”. “Each new edition reaches an even greater scale”, said Mansour FAYE, reaffirming his commitment to promoting culture. Energised by the praise from the authorities, Abdoukarim FALL, founder of this artistic gathering now inscribed in the national cultural calendar, expressed his desire to encourage excellence in artistic practice through this initiative. He praised the availability of the Minister of Culture and the Mayor of NDAR. Significant innovations were introduced to the organisation of the Itinéraires, including the launch of an online platform and the introduction of art workshops for schoolchildren and students.
